Are you a female student (16-26 yo) who is (or might be) interested in computer science, web design, robotics, video game development, engineering, etc.? If so, join us at RIT’s Women in Computing’s annual hackathon, WiCHacks, on February 24, 25 and 26, 2017 at Rochester Institute of Technology!
This event is open to women of all skill levels: those who haven’t programmed at all, women who have done some programming, and the best women programmers out there. It will be a great day to learn, invent, and create the future.
February 24th (Newbie Track Only 9-5pm).
Over a 24-hour period from February 25th to 26th, you will have the opportunity to:
– build innovative software and hardware projects
– meet other women with the same interests as you
– network with industry representatives
– learn new skills and technologies, and overall,
– have an awesome time.
Please note: Any Newbies or Hackers under the age of 18 must leave the campus from 12AM – 6AM.
Students will be provided with valuable mentors from companies who can lend expertise to your projects. Finally, there will be free food all weekend from local caterers, fun events/games throughout the hackathon, exciting prizes, swag, and much more!
